Currently, this is intended behavior, because in our experience lots of
devices still have troubles with Caller Name in the Display-Name part,
and it opens doors to fraud or at least malicious behavior in certain
scenarios where only the Caller Name is picked as CLI at PSTN gateways
without further checks and can therefore be used to fake Caller IDs.

Look for uac_replace_from in the route ROUTE_SET_CLI_CALLER in
/etc/ngcp-config/templates/etc/kamailio/proxy/proxy.cfg.tt2 how and when
the From part is rewritten, and there you can hopefully customize it to
your needs.

We might take it into consideration to introduce a user/domain/peer
preference where you can control whether to allow the Caller Name to
pass through, however this needs to be handled with great care from a
security point of view.
