Hi Andrew,

I got this working after installing the mysqlclient 16_5.1.57 and restarting asterisk.

root at sipwise:~# dpkg -i libmysqlclient16_5.1.57-rel12.8-233.squeeze_amd64.deb

also please have a look at /var/log/syslog - is there any notice of
asterisk crashing in libmysqlclient? If so you need to downgrade percona
mysql to 5.1.57, search list archive or ask us for details.
