Michael hi,
Your help is much appreciated.
The module seems to go into the update directory. I'm not sure if this is
correct but I now get:
root at switch:~# dkms install -m ngcp-mediaproxy-ng -v 1.6.5
xt_MEDIAPROXY.ko:

Ok, I've no idea yet how you did run into this issue, we sadly can't
reproduce it so far. It *might* be related to the vserver/openvz kernels and
switching between them. If you or someone finds a way how to reproduce this
issue we're happy to provide according fixes to catch that issue.
Alright, now to recover from your situation:

When running:
dkms install -m ngcp-mediaproxy-ng -v 1.6.5
dpkg --configure -a
/etc/init.d/ngcp-mediaproxy-ng-daemon restart
it should build xt_MEDIAPROXY for kernel 2.6.32-042stab053.5 and give you a
working system.
