I am trying to get sipwise set up on a new server. The Asterisk binary,
provided by the ngcp-asterisk package, which was retrieved from the
deb.sipwise.com site will start start.

Get:255 http://deb.sipwise.com/spce/3.0/ wheezy/main ngcp-asterisk amd64
1.4.24.1+ngcp.1 [2,173 kB]

Here is what happens:

# /usr/sbin/asterisk
Illegal instruction

Running with strace ends as follows:

uname({sys="Linux", node="sipwise", ...}) = 0
--- SIGILL (Illegal instruction) @ 0 (0) ---
+++ killed by SIGILL +++
Illegal instruction

The kernel log provides the following:

Nov 6 17:04:43 sipwise kernel: [611326.160581] asterisk[16541] trap
invalid opcode ip:451b5b sp:7fff20fc2a20 error:0 in asterisk[400000+128000]

The machine that I am trying to set this up on is Dell Poweredge 1850.
It has 2 dual-core Intel Xeon processors:

I installed stock amd64 Debian Wheezy and it seems to be running fine
otherwise.

# uname -a
Linux sipwise 3.2.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.2.51-1 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Can someone tell me what the story is here?

Thanks

Steve
