[Spce-user] Billing systems questions

Jbilling is a good option, we use this and deploy for other customers. But
be aware that the telco edition is now commercial.

When this topic comes up here, most folk want full O/S with no license cost.
Community edition has some restrictions, including no API access.

Hi Seb & Nikita,

Thank you very much for replying with those two suggestions. I looked at
A2Billing, yeah. I will try Freeside.biz out as well, as both look good.

I'll let you know how I get on, and may consider contributing my code
modifications back to the SP project if all goes well. If you have any code
examples for integration that you'd be willing to share, I'd appreciate
those very much.

Cheers

Jack

Yes, it can be used for post-paid clients. For prepaid A2Billing can be
used. It is not so difficult. Information about customer can be send by SIP
headers.

In my solution I use both.

Hello!
Have you had a look at Freeside.biz?
I used an older version (1.7) twiked to match the French billing regulations
for about 7 years.
Not perfect on several aspcets but it did the job very well.
They are on rel 3.2 I believe, so many of the features I needed back then
should be available now.
Cheers,
Seb.

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good open source billing system that works well with
SP/Kamailio?

I've found quite a few but I'm not sure which would be the best to go with.

Thanks

Jack
