If you are talking about SIP presence, you need to configure XCAP on the
jitsi client.

https://your_ip:1080/xcap and Use SIP credential.

But, from our experience, SIP presence with different type of clients is
a nightmare. So, we decide to use XMPP in order to get presence properly
working.
