Actually you could customize your installation to do that. I'm not sure the
reason behind this but:

In the kamailio proxy configuration you can replace the content of the
$var(lcr_match_content) variable to set the subscriber id in there. Then, the
caller match would hit that content instead of the callerid.

Check the [ROUTE_PSTN] if you're familiar with kamailio configuration.
