[Spce-user] email template [% url %] is substituted with a .local hostname, how can I set that

Hello,

The [% url %] placeholder in the subscriber email template is 
substituted with a .local hostname, which cannot be resolved or reached 
from the outside world, and I would be surprised if I used that hostname 
in any configuration. How can I set that to a reasonable value?
