Dear Benjamin,

Shouldn't you create a DNS record on your DNS server:
> 192.168.1.xx hostname.domainname.com
to ping 'hostname.domainname.com' from 104.11.117.xx?

Also you cad run on "104.11.117.xx":
> echo "192.168.1.xx hostname.domainname.com hostname.domainname.com." >> /etc/hosts
to have the same results.

I hope it will help you.
