Hello,

yesterday evening the "mediator" stops working... I fixed it but i don't know why he stops working.
Does anybody know how I can identify the problem..?
Was my "fix" the right way to solve the problem..?

If i look in the cdr.log file i see:
Mar 17 19:57:58 spce mediator[4289]: Overall 9083 CDRs created so far.
Mar 17 20:06:53 spce mediator[4289]: Error executing query: Lock wait timeout exceeded; try restarting transaction
Mar 17 20:06:53 spce mediator[4289]: Shutting down.
Mar 17 20:06:53 spce mediator[4289]: Successfully shut down.
Mar 17 20:06:53 spce mediator[4289]: Unlocking mediator.

Now I tried to restart mediator:
/etc/init.d/mediator restart

but i just get:
Mar 18 11:13:54 spce mediator[31130]: Locking process.
Mar 18 11:13:54 spce mediator[31130]: Non-empty lock file '/var/lock/mediator.lock' detected, refusing to start. Examine its contents to learn about the cause, and then delete it to clear the error
Mar 18 11:13:54 spce mediator[31130]: Unlocking mediator.

so i removed the mediator.lock file:
rm /var/lock/mediator.lock

and did again:
/etc/init.d/mediator restart

now I see this in logfile:
Mar 18 11:15:36 spce mediator[31897]: Locking process.
Mar 18 11:15:36 spce mediator[31897]: Daemonizing process.
Mar 18 11:15:36 spce mediator[31898]: Writing pid file.
Mar 18 11:15:36 spce mediator[31898]: ACC acc database host='localhost', port='3306', user='kamailio', name='kamailio'
Mar 18 11:15:36 spce mediator[31898]: CDR acc database host='localhost', port='3306', user='mediator', name='accounting'
Mar 18 11:15:36 spce mediator[31898]: Setting up mysql connections.
Mar 18 11:15:36 spce mediator[31898]: Up and running, daemonized=1, pid-path='/var/run/mediator.pid', interval=10
Mar 18 11:15:37 spce mediator[31898]: Overall 555 CDRs created so far.
Mar 18 11:16:20 spce mediator[31898]: Overall 556 CDRs created so far.

last but not least I did:
/etc/init.d/ngcp-rate-o-mat restart
