Hi,

mr3.8 LTS release is based on Debian Wheezy only.
mr4.2+ releases are based on Debian Jessie only.

mr4.5 is planned to be the next Debian Jessie LTS release.
mr4.5.1 is planned on Aug 26, 2016

Direct upgrade mr3.8.* LTS -> mr4.5 LTS is planned since mr4.5.2 is out
(~October 2016).

You can upgrade to Debian Jessie right now using upgrade manuals on our
web site:
https://www.sipwise.org/doc/mr4.0.2/spce/ar01s03.html#_upgrade_from_previous_versions_to_mr4_0_2

Upgrade path is: mr3.8.*->mr4.0.2->mr4.1.2->mr4.2.2->mr4.3.2->mr4.4.1

I hope it will help you!

P.S. The latest LTS version is mr3.8.7 which is based on wheezy:

P.P.S. which release you are upgrading from?
