[Spce-user] adding and dropping numbers from peering rules

Is it possible/wise to directly add and drop numbers from peering rules as a database transaction?

The situation is:  I'm going to peer with a local rural telco so we can exchange calls directly.  They will provide me with regular updates of the numbers they service and I will do the same for them.  We want to automate this process as much as possible.
