yes this was also my understanding how to manage this with my available possibilities, but it is just a work arround.
Maybe SIPWISE is willing to implement this features in a next release?

If you need reseller control te best way would be to have two spce servers: One for your own use and another one for resellers.
This second one would be client of the first one so you can map resellers on
sp2 to subscribers on sp1 and use all preferences.
