Check the permissions and ownerships. The user owning the process (ps 
axu | grep rtpengine) must match the ownership and permissions of the 
/proc interface (ls -la /proc/rtpengine/)

(Although that alone shouldn't cause problems with audio - audio should 
be working regardless)
