Hi Matthew

We do not have plans to incorporate transcoding in the following two releases
at least. It is in our roadmap but there's a lot of features coming first.

Our development roadmap changes often. We always have a mix of development
tickets:

- Features we want to be included in the releases

- Features that our CE customers have requested via web or mailing list and we
  think are good for everyone

- Features our PRO customers have requested and we think are good for everyone

- Features that have been sponsored and we think that are good for everyone.
  These ones usually have more priority, of course.


All of them are considered and then we create the tickets and move them from
release to release depending on the demand, time and resources we have.

This explanations means that although we don't have plans to release transcoding
features until 2.8 at least, this status could change if some company
decides to sponsor it or we decide to move it to 2.7 for whatever reason.

It won't be included in 2.6 in any way because the merge window is already
closed for this release.
