Hi,
Some people reported it on the list already, see this thread:

The problem is in newer libmysqlclient versions, while version 5.1.57 is
known to work well. So you need to downgrade mysql as described in the
link (not just client part but the server as well) and afterwards
restart asterisk with /etc/init.d/asterisk restart.

In upcoming s:p ce release 2.5 we provide mysql version 5.1.57 in own
repository which you can put into sources.list instead of percona repo:
deb http://deb.sipwise.com/percona/ squeeze main
We'll see if we can backport this to 2.4.
