Sorry I forgot to answer this mail before. A new version of mediaproxy-ng was
released on May 16.
Version 1.6.6 has automatic userspace failover if the kernel modules fail to
start for any reason.
Please upgrade you system and give a try to start mediaproxy:
You should see something like this:
root at sp1:/lib/modules/2.6.32-5-amd64# /etc/init.d/ngcp-mediaproxy-ng-daemon
start Starting RTP/media proxy: ngcp-mediaproxy-ng-daemonFATAL: Could not read
'/lib/modules/2.6.32-5-amd64/updates/dkms/xt_MEDIAPROXY.ko': No such file or
directory /etc/init.d/ngcp-mediaproxy-ng-daemon: 134: cannot
create /proc/mediaproxy/control: Directory nonexistent
iptables: No chain/target/match by that name.
ip6tables: No chain/target/match by that name.
FAILED TO CREATE KERNEL TABLE 0, KERNEL FORWARDING DISABLED
Going to
background...
But the service should be running:
root at sp1:/lib/modules/2.6.32-5-amd64# ps -ef | grep mediaproxy-ng | grep -v grep
root 9296 1 0 15:22 pts/0 00:00:00 /usr/sbin/mediaproxy-ng
--ip=XX.XX.XX.XX --listen-udp=127.0.0.1:12222 --timeout=60
--silent-timeout=3600 --pidfile=/var/run/ngcp-mediaproxy-ng-daemon.pid
--tos=184 --port-min=30000 --port-max=40000 --table=0
Please let us know if it worked for you. It might be helpfull for other people
running SPCE in virtualized hosting servers that don't provide full kernel
sources.
