Jon hi,

I agree about the lb doing SRV lookups. I just mean a separation of realm in SIP URI and peer proxy datails which should be a name and looked up via DNS. This is the same model as using an 'outbound proxy'.
So:

User URI = sip:123 at telecom.com
Proxy   = voip.com
