[Spce-user] Howto Register with a SIP Peer

Hi,

I guess this question has been asked several times, but I didn't find a 
sufficient answer..... so here we go:

What are the necessary steps to register with a peer?

I have configured the a 2nd peer by the web admin interface:

->Name: sipgate; IP:217.10.79.9;Port:5060;UDP;Weight:1

(still wondering why HOSTNAME is not a valid choice?!!)

Peer:sipgate:
-> peer_auth_user: 12345678
-> peer_auth_pass: secret
-> peer_auth_realm: sipgate.de
-> peer_auth_register: x

Not sending any REGISTER to sipgate....

-> peering rule (default with no other entry)

Not sending any REGISTER to sipgate....


So what is missing?
