Gary,

Check out the Audiocodes workaround in the handbook section 5.5.1 if the
problem in the address itself being 'loopback'

We use our external address with the first octet replaced with '10' for
internal communications. It makes debugging easier.

This fixes a number of systems getting confused.

Regards

John

Andreas,

We have the same issue with Level 3 Communications / Global Crossing on
their Enterprise SIP Platform. As background, they have a Acme Packet SBC
in front of their Broadsoft App Server.

When the party on the Peer/Level3 side of the network sends a BYE, it never
reaches the subscriber on the SPCE side and hangs. If the SPCE subscriber
sends the BYE, then it appears to work properly.

>From everything we can see and with feedback from Level , their SBC or App
Server appears to be getting confused by the address SPCE puts in the
contact ID field. Is there a setting that will put an additional or
different IP address in the Contact ID field? I likely can't get a packet
capture until Thursday night (US-EDT), but would be happy to provide one
privately later in the week.

Hi,

Any URI params in the Contact header must to be preserved for correct
routing, otherwise you're opening a huge can of worms.

Hi,

When we send an invite to the peer we have ngcpct='sip:127.0.0.1:5080'
in the contact header.

Can someone tell me what this is and if we can remove it? For some
reason the peer think it should send BYE and CANCEL to this address
which makes calls hang.

Med venlig hilsen
