Interesting. Is it possible to uncomment this line:

log = /var/log/mysql/queries.log

in /etc/mysql/my.cnf, restart mysql, then send us the query which
rate-o-mat produces (you can "tail -f /var/log/mysql/queries.log" to see
the queries, it's something like "update cdr set ...")?
