[Spce-user] New Install

Ok I got it working. However, one more thing, I want the server to answer using the FQDN and not the IP address. What file do I need to change to make this happen?

Horace,

What SIP client are you using and how are you configuring it? You might want to configure the server's IP as outbound proxy if resolution fails or you have no SRV entries in your DNS for sip service. If you run "ngrep -W byline port 5060" do you see registration packets arriving from the UA on the server?

Best.

Ok,

I completely started from scratch. Have all the services started with no errors. I can connect to the web interface. I have checked to make sure that the domain is correct. I have changed the config.yml to only want username for login.
I can telnet to the sipserver ip address 5060 and the sever responds. However, when I try to connect with a sip client I get nothing whatsoever. The proxy-log has nothing even showing a connection attempt. Help.. what can I provide to have someone help me figure this out..?

Hi,
the log you posted means that kamailio-proxy was not running and it failed to start because of incorrect rewrite rule in DB. I have to check that the admin panel correctly validates the input. Anyway, now that you have deleted the rewrite rule from DB please check that the proxy is
running: /etc/init.d/kamailio-proxy status If not re-start it. If you get the same error upon start, check mysql -e "select * from kamailio.dialplan;"
Then your client should be able to get some response back from the proxy.

Hope this helps.
