[Spce-user] Enable G729 codec

Hi Walter,

Thanks for your reply! I think you are mentioning the g729 codec within the PBX of sipwise. Correct me if I wrong.

My problem is the g729 codec between trunk of the SIP provider.

My SDP filter settings are:

sdp_filter:
      codecs: g729,PCMA,PCMU,telephone-event
      enable: 'yes'
      mode: whitelist

But when I make a call to our sip provider I am getting a Unsuported media SIP message back from the sip provider.

I did a troubleshooting with my sip provider and he said that I was missing the g729 codec.

Do you have a solution for this problem?

Yes it is enabled by default but if you are wondering about announcements or core services like voicemail supporting g729, that will not happen due to licensing requirements.

But by default if sender and receiver supports it, spce will pass through anything.

Yours sincerely,
Walter

Dear,

Is it possible to enable G729 codec support on the sipwise installation. How can this be enabled?

I changed in

/etc/ngcp-config/config.yml

the sdp_filter setting but is not working.

Is the G729 codec default available in the sipwise installation?
