Which guide?
I do not recall any _installation_ guides which hint you perform
'apt-get dist-upgrade'.

You are using ngcp-install.deb way. And your installation has failed in
the middle, you are currently fighting with wind.
Please, perform clean installation from Sipwise install CD:
> https://www.sipwise.org/doc/mr5.0.1/spce/ar01s03.html#_using_the_ngcp_install_cd_recommended

It will fix your current and upcomming issues which will happens for
sure, as installation was not finished properly.

This was not enough to complete/fix "full" installation.
You have just finished packages installation stage only.

As replied, I suppose the issue there is lack of git config setup,
and autodetect there failed due to not-allowed "()" in DNS name:

Please reinstall using install CD from the link above, safe your and our
time.
