While all looks good and simple, probably some users will want to have a switch e.g. in config.yml for backward compatibility. I have to check what makes most sense there, can't tell yet, but I'll create an internal task to check if there any other scenarios affected by this change and then in what release this fix/improvement is going to be available.
For now please keep it as a customized change.
