Hi Matthias,
It is a current/knows NGCP architecture limitation.
We would like to improve the situation here in the future, but
for now there is no way to rename domain in a fully "safe" way.
Keep in mind deleting the domain will also trigger all the domain data
cleanup (including subscribers) due to MariaDB foreign key dependencies.
