[Spce-user] Voice Mail (VoiceBox) Not Working -

Having followed the quick guide instructions out of the box for this product, and having configured missed calls, unavailable etc to be forwarded to the voicebox, there is no message when the voicebox responds, and no voicemail is recorded.
has anyone else experienced this problem?
Its also configured to forward to voicebox when the phone is not reachable, but this never happens. The request just timeouts on the callee side.
Have updated all packages (no updates applied), using the latest version 2.4 of CE.
